Baylis Park - Home for the Homeless Challenge

Here is my lot that I didn't showed yet. It was featured few days ago on the sims 3 exchange.

Baylis Park - Home for the Homeless Challenge

This lot was made for the Homeless Challenge that I made. It had to have only bench from the furnitures and all the stuff from build mode. Rules for the challenge you can find in my blog HERE.
Its really cool challenge and not long. It took me 3 days to finish it :) It is perfect way to rest from your normal family that you are playing.  :)

You can download and recommend here:

cc list: only high grass (swamp grass) from TSR checked with Custard tool so safe to download.

Few pics from my challenge ;) It was lot of fun as you can see

This is my homeless sim - Serena. Ex pirate that tried to start new life on the land in the city called
 Barnacle Bay.

It was allowed in the challenge to have only 1 bench to sleep on. I could have also pond so she could catch some fishes to eat.

My Serena was so poor but still repo man was coming to take this what my sim found in the bins.

And it was hard and humiliating job to do

Sleeping on the bench didn't gave enough sleep to be awake all day.

The most amazing thing in her life was discovery of a house with a big garden. If the owners only knew what she was doing they would call police for sure. But it was so hard to survive as a homeless

The second thing that changed her life was finding a secret hide out left by pirates. It was underground cemetery with lot of graves and ..... very comfortable bed!

Once she met her old pirate friends but she didn't want to come back to her previous criminal life. It was over and it was the time to move on and do something useful in her life.

One day she was passing near the shop  and she saw on the window old used guitar that wasn't much expensive. She had some money saved from collecting gems, seeds, fishing and gardening so she didn't thought too long.

She knew a bit how to play it. She was doing it in the past on the ship

So now she could play for a tips in the local parks. And that was worth it.

Since she was finding seeds Serena could have her own garden. Her fruits and vegetables were very tasty so she start selling them in the grocery shop and soon she got her first requests from the local people.

They even taste good when baked on the fire pit

One day she found some amazing stones. She sent them to cut and that finished her challenge: giant meteor, woohooium, Mummitomium and compendium. She reached 20.000 :D and that was the end of the challenge

Here are the final points for my challenge:
- 46 points from Lifetime Happiness points (for each 1000 was 1 point added) I had 46.940 points
- 12 points for having 4 friends (for each friend, love etc 3 points)
- 28 points for having 28 points of skills
- 10 points for finishing 2 skills: gardening and guitar skills

The Sims 3: Rainbow Legacy Rules

The Sims 3: RAINBOW LEGACY RULES

It was copied from original site and changed to the sims 3. From this website LINK

The Rules
1. Each generation must correspond to a specific colour on the colour wheel. We only used primary and secondary colours for this to keep it simple. The generation allocation is as follows:

2. You can choose how many generations you would like to attempt, there are 5 possibilities:
- 3 Generations (the primary colours: yellow, red & blue)
- 4 Generations (yellow, red, blue & green)
- 6 Generations (yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, green)

- 8 Generations (the primary and secondary colours)
- 10 Generations (bonus black and white rounds for those who don’t want to let go yet)

3. You can choose any shade of a particular color, from dark to screaming bright to pastel. As long as the colour is identifiable, it’s A-okay with us.

4. The allocated colour must be obvious in each generation, but how you implement that is completely up to you. Anything goes, showing the colour through hair, make up, wardrobe, home décor, etc. So long as we can tell what colour generation you are on immediately, it’s all good. Mods may be used to change skin colour to use custom skins for different generations.

5. The family surname should be the word “rainbow” in your native language (or if English is your native language, you can use the mirrored version of “Wobniar”) Also allowed is anything synonymous with rainbows or a series of colours in your part of the world (something from a legend or story, maybe a word you made up as a kid, whatever floats your boat). For example, if you were to choose 'coat' (Joseph's coat), that'd be excepted.

6. Offspring for each generation should be named something that corresponds to the allocated colour for that generation. For example, for gen 3 (red), you could name your children Scarlet, Crimson, Heat, Strawberry, Blood-Count, etc. Have fun with it, feel free to go as crazy as you like.

7. We take no responsibility for any retina scarring that may occur due to overexposure to colour.

8. You can rearrange the rainbow we posted, it's just meant as a pointer, or a suggestion. If you really want, you can replace a few colours with your own for your legacy, or add some more to go beyond 10 generations.

Any suggestions, ectera welcome. 8D

---------------------------

If you want to have this challenge more interesting add few more rules:
The Main Idea
This Legacy challenge is made up of 8 generations counting the founder. The idea is to go through the colours of the rainbow, and match your family as close to their colour coded generation as possible. Custom content and custom townies is encouraged. The end of the Legacy is when the last person dies in the Violet generation.

Basic Rules

1. Your founder may be female or male, have any traits, LTW, and any career out of: Stylist, Science or Political.

2. They must be as multicoloured as you can make them. For every multicolour body part they have, you get 1 point. (Body part being eyes, skin, hair.)

3. Each child born in their colour generation must be named aptly. Example: Children born in the Red generation need to be named in relation the the colour red. (Garnet, Ruby, Heart, Cherry, Heat). Go as crazy as you like.

4. The order of the generations is suggested to be kept as:
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

If you really want to, feel free to change.

5. Each colour has a matched career path(s), that if you follow you will gain an additional 5 points. You get five points for a part-time at the top by time the sim grows into a Young Adult and five for topping a full time career before death. The paths are:

Red - Criminal, Mausoleum Gravedigger (as teen), Ghost hunter.
Orange - Business, Receptionist (as teen), Architectural Designer.
Yellow - Medical, Spa Specialist, Painting Skill-Career
Green - Military, Firefighter, Private Investigator.
Blue - Law Enforcment, Grocery Store Clerk,
Indigo - Culinary, Journalism, Bookstore Clerk.
Violet - Professional Sports, Education, Stylist.

7. You may make your own townies in an attempt to make children born with their generations colour, as children born matching their generations namesake will get an additional one point.

8. Each generation must have at least two children.

9. If your child(ren) LTW is completed, 10 points.

Other than that use normal legacy rules but add on these points:
Gain points for:
Founder with custom multicoloured parts: +1 per eyes. hair, skintone, make up, clothes. (5 points for founder possible)
Sim topping career: +5 points.
Sim topping part-time career as teen: +5 points.
Sim completing LTW: +10 points.
Child matching their generation namesake with bodyparts when born: +2 points
Following a career path to allocated generation: +5 points per career.
Sim having more than two children: +2 points per child.
Mastered a skill for heir: +7 points.

Lose points for:
Sim choosing different career to that allocated to generation: -1 point.
Sim dying on Legacy lot. Unless they are a controlable sim (I/E: portrait on the left), any sim dying on the lot: -2 points.
Each body part heir is not born with: -1 point per part.

HAPPY SIMMING!!!

The Sims 3: Homeless Challenge Rules

The Sims 3: HOMELESS CHALLENGE RULES

Step One: Creating A Sim

Basics:
Create a Young Adult in CAS. You can customize their looks and favorites however you want. However, the Sim cannot be wearing any accessories or makeup. Their voice and favorites are also up to you.
Traits:
The five traits of your Sim are up to you, however you may not have the Kleptomaniac, Lucky, or Heavy Sleeper traits. Tip - Having the trait Loves The Outdoors will give your Sim a mood boost whenever they're wandering the streets.
Lifetime Wish:
Take a look at the five options for a LTW. You can't choose any career related wish. If there is more than one option that is not career-related, you can choose which one you want.

Step Two: Purchasing A Lot

Choosing Lot:
Move your Sim into whatever lot you would like. It doesn't matter. However, it must be a blank lot with no house or anything built on it.
Decorating Lot:
In Build Mode, you are allowed to use the following however you like: Trees, Shrubs, Flowers, Rocks, Terrain Paint, Ponds, and Terrain Tools. In Build Mode, you are allowed to purchase
one "Community Bench". This is found in the Misc. category of Comfort. You are also allowed to purchase anything in the Plants category of Buy Mode.

Step Three: Being Homeless

Starting Up:
When you are done building, you must reduce your Sim's funds to $35. You can do this by typing in this cheat: familyfunds familyname 35
Earning Money:
No one wants to hire a filthy Sim! You cannot get a full-time or part-time job. You are limited to the ways you can earn money. You can collect and sell gems, bugs, space rocks, and other collectables. You can sell fish you catch or food you harvest. However, you cannot sell anything that you put on your lot in Step Two.
Spending Money:
You are only allowed to purchase things you can store in your inventory, like a guitar or fire pit for example. You cannot purchase chairs for the fire pit if you choose to buy one.
Eating:
You are only allowed to eat fish or harvestables (whatever is in your Sim's inventory). You can only eat your fish if it is cooked, so you can use a stove in someone's house (or on a community lot if you can find one) to cook it. You can also mooch food off another Sim. Your Sim can't eat in any restaurants, because you are not wanted there. Tip - Head over to Stoney Falls. There are bugs, rocks, and plants; perfect for the homeless Sim. :]
Gardening:
If you find a seed, you may plant it on your home lot. However, you may only plant seeds - you cannot plant a food (even though the game lets you).
Marrying/Moving In Sims:
You cannot marry or move in any Sims until you have completed the challenge. However, you can have a baby to make the challenge even harder.
Paying Bills:
Every few days a bill will appear in your mailbox. You are required to pay these bills, but they won't be very much money.
Hygiene:
You are welcome to take a bath or shower at someone's house - but this may get you kicked out. A better option is to have a shower at a community lot. Tip - the 28 Hour Wellness Gym has some bathroom facilities! If all else fails, your Sim can just wash their hands many many times.
Lifetime Rewards:
You can purchase any Lifetime Rewards you want, but you will only get points for the Lifetime Happiness points you haven't spent at the end. Tip - don't buy the Discount Diner, Office Hero, Vacationer, or Professional Slacker rewards, because you won't be allowed to use them (until the challenge is completed).

Step Four: Completing The Challenge

If you have used any money cheats after Step Two, you are disqualified. You have completed the challenge when you have $20,000. You must have all the money in your Sim's funds at one time; when you do this the challenge is over. If you would like to continue to play that Sim through their lifetime, all the restrictions are removed and you can then use anything in build or buy mode. If you want, you can also use this scoring:

  • +1 point per every 1,000 Lifetime Happiness point you have at the end.
  • +3 per friend, good friend, best friend, romantic interest, crush, or boyfriend/girlfriend you have at the end.
  • +1 per skill point you have.
  • +5 per skill you have maxed (level 10).
